Hilfe nach Simchat Tora-Massaker und anhaltender Gewalt in Israel
Die Zentralwohlfahrtsstelle der Juden in Deutschland ist von dem Ausmaß der Gewalt und des Terrors, die sich seit dem Morgen des 7. Oktober, am jüdischen Feiertag Simchat Tora, völlig unerwartet in Israel durch den Überfall der Terrororganisation Hamas Bahn gebrochen haben, schwer erschüttert.
Die jüdische Gemeinschaft in Deutschland sowie in Deutschland lebende Israelis sind durch diesen Angriff entsetzt, viele empfinden Ohnmacht und befinden sich in einem Schockzustand. Die Nachrichten des gezielten Überfalls auf mehrere Ortschaften und ein Musikfestival, im Zuge dessen junge Familien mit ihren Kindern, ältere und behinderte Menschen gequält, gefangen gehalten und teilweise in ihren Häusern ermordet wurden, ebenso wie die Berichte von Vergewaltigungen und Entführungen lösen Angst und Verzweiflung aus. Viele Menschen vermissen weiterhin oder trauern bereits um Angehörige und Freunde. Schon jetzt haben der Schaden und das menschliche Leid ein unermessliches Ausmaß erreicht.
Als sozialer Dachverband der jüdischen Gemeinden in Deutschland und als Träger zahlreicher Austausch-, Bildungsreisen- und Freiwilligendienstprogramme, sind wir der israelischen Zivilbevölkerung persönlich und professionell eng verbunden und bestehen auf der Notwendigkeit und dem Recht des israelischen Staates auf Selbstverteidigung und Schutz seiner Bewohner:innen.
Auch herrscht unter vielen Menschen hierzulande große Sorge vor antisemitischer Gewalt in Form von körperlichen Angriffen, Hetze und Hassrede online, die sich immer wieder im Zusammenhang mit Eskalationen des israelisch-palästinensischen Konflikts gegen jüdische Personen und Israelis, sowie gegen jüdische Einrichtungen richten.

Help after Simchat Torah massacre and continuing violence in Israel.
The Central Welfare Board of Jews in Germany is deeply shocked by the extent of violence and terror that has broken out in Israel since the morning of October 7, on the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, completely unexpectedly as a result of the attack by the terrorist organization Hamas.
The Jewish community in Germany as well as Israelis living in Germany are horrified by this attack, many feel powerlessness and are in a state of shock. The news of the targeted attack on several towns and a music festival, in the course of which young families with their children, elderly and disabled people were tortured, held captive and partly murdered in their homes, as well as the reports of rapes and kidnappings have triggered fear and despair. Many people continue to miss or are already mourning the loss of relatives and friends. Already, the damage and human suffering have reached immeasurable proportions.
As the social umbrella organization of the Jewish communities in Germany and the sponsor of numerous exchange, educational and volunteer programs, we have close personal and professional ties to the Israeli civilian population and insist on the need and right of the State of Israel to defend itself and protect its citizens.
There is also great concern among many people in Germany about the antisemitic violence in the form of physical attacks, incitement, and hate speech online that has repeatedly been directed at Jewish individuals and Israelis, as well as Jewish institutions, in the context of the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

ועדת הרווחה המרכזית של יהודים בגרמניה מזועזעת עמוקות מהטרור בישראל מאז בוקר ה-7 באוקטובר, בחג שמחת תורה, באופן בלתי צפוי לחלוטין כתוצאה מהתקפת ארגון חמאס
הקהילה היהודית בגרמניה כמו גם ישראלים החיים בגרמניה נחרדים מהמתרחש בישראל, רבים חשים חוסר אונים ונמצאים במצב של הלם. הידיעה על התקיפה הממוקדת במספר עיירות ופסטיבל מוזיקה, שבמסגרתו עונו משפחות צעירות עם ילדיהן, קשישים ונכים, הוחזקו בשבי ונרצחו בחלקם בבתיהם ובעייני קרובי משפחתיהם, וכן הדיווחים על אונס וחטיפות עוררו פחד וייאוש. אנשים רבים מחפשים את יקיריהם או כבר אבלים על אובדן קרובי משפחה וחברים. כבר עכשיו, הנזק והסבל האנושי הגיעו לממדים בלתי ניתנים לשיעו
כארגון הגג הסוציאלי של הקהילות היהודיות בגרמניה ונותני החסות של תוכניות חינוך והתנדבות וחילופי נוער רבים , יש לנו קשרים אישיים ומקצועיים הדוקים עם האוכלוסייה האזרחית בישראל ועומדים על הצורך והזכות של מדינת ישראל להגן על עצמה. ולהגן על אזרחיה.
כמו כן, קיים דאגה רבה בקרב אנשים רבים בגרמניה מהאלימות האנטישמית בצורת תקיפות פיזיות, הסתה ודיבורי נאצה ברשת שהופנתה שוב ושוב כלפי אנשים יהודים וישראלים, כמו גם מוסדות יהודיים, בהקשר של ההסלמה. של הסכסוך הישראלי-פלסטיני.
